Mission Statement

Important Communication Tools

We want you to know that you can locate teacher web page information, e-mail addresses, and phone extensions by going to the Staff Listing and Teacher Web Sites page under Contact Us.

Do not forget that we describe the directions for using the PASS system within the Parent’s Corner section of our Web site. PASS allows you to see your child’s grades on a regular basis.

Remember that students are supposed to write the objective (information they are learning) and note assigned homework, quiz, and/or scheduled tests in their Student Planner. This is a great tool for parents to dialogue with their children about their day at school.

Check back often to stay informed about the exciting happenings at Combs Middle School!

Thank you for your support in helping your child reach his or her academic potential. Your encouragement and involvement will make all the difference in how your student perceives his or her middle school years. Together, working as a team, we can help your child learn, succeed, and achieve!

Dear Parents, Students and Community:

Welcome to the Combs Middle School Web site. We are so very proud of our school where each day our students pledge to do more than they have to do, treat others as they want to be treated, and become better people. The staff works diligently to help our Cougars support their pledge while providing opportunities for them to grow academically, socially, and personally.

As you visit our Web site, I want to make you aware of the four core philosophies of our campus that serve as the cornerstone of our school. We strive for each Cougar to not only know the core philosophies but also be willing to actively live them each day.

  • Students shall strive to grow academically, socially, and personally.
  • Students have the right to learn, and teachers have the right to teach; therefore, no student should keep students from learning or teachers from teaching.
  • Students shall do no harm and need to be respectful of themselves, others, and their school at all times.
  • Students are responsible for the decisions they make. Students should enjoy the experience of making an appropriate decision and should accept the consequences of making an inappropriate decision.

Academic growth is a key focus throughout the school year. Each student has important academic responsibilities to practice regularly - be prepared for class, produce high quality work, read assignments, complete all academic work as we have assigned, take notes, participate in class, ask questions, seek help (when needed), study daily, and do your best at all times.

The staff at Combs Middle School looks forward to building upon the many successes that are currently occurring while preparing for the rewarding challenges that lie ahead. We know that our school community will continue to move forward as families and staff members partner with an energized desire to help each Cougar student experience as much success as possible.

Go Cougars!
