CMS has a comprehensive athletic program that includes flag football, track, volleyball, cheer, baseball, softball, and basketball. These sports are part of an inter-school competition program. The student who participates in sports is expected to uphold the honor and pride of our school.

sports ballsTo participate in athletics, a student must have each of the following:

  • The student's parent/guardian must sign a permission slip. Insurance and emergency information must be included on the form.
  • The student must receive a physical examination by a physician. We require only one physical for the middle school years. If students wish, they may have a physical from their own private doctor. If this is the case, the student must bring a signed physical to the nurse.
  • To participate in any games, a student must be academically eligible. The student must be passing all classes and display proper attitude and behavior. If failing in either area, the student will be ineligible for games for a period of one week. After that time, if the student's grades, behavior, and attitude are acceptable, the student may participate in games.

To participate in practice or in a game, the student must have attended at least one-half day of school that day. For more information, contact our Athletic Director, Melissa Lebeau at ext.1423.

Cougar Sports

The Cougar Athletic Program is a great way to show your school spirit, make new friends, and exercise your heart and muscles. Please join us wherever you're comfortable. Combs Middle School is active in both boys and girls competitive sports programs including flag football, track, volleyball, cheer, baseball, softball, and basketball. We're proud of our athletes for their hard work and good sportsmanship.

Any student who has a current physical on file can try out for our traveling and intramural sports teams. The sports physical must be completed every school year in order to be eligible to play. We look forward to another successful season. Go Cougars!
